The landscape
El secret

The vines are located in the Aliste area, in the north-west corner of Zamora province between the basins of the Tera River, to the north, and the Duero, to the south, on the southern slopes of the Sierra de la Culebra.
This stretch of country is known as the Tierra de Lobos (Land of Wolves) since it is home to the largest concentration of European wolves. Its 70,000 hectares (270 square miles) of untamed landscape is free of any type of contamination, and its indigenous flora is mostly made up of oak, chestnut and Holm oak trees together with scrubland containing rockrose, broom, as well as several species of heather. There are also alder trees, white willow, wild strawberry, cherry and apple trees, as well as wild bilberry, blackberry, white hawthorn, wild roses, honeysuckle, thyme, lavender and carquesia, providing a decorative backdrop to this unspoilt natural setting. It is a place that holds its own secret and also that of our wine.
